China sincere in developing China-U.S. relations while upholding principles: ambassador

China is committed to developing stable relations with the United States but will firmly safeguard its core interests, Chinese Ambassador to the U.S. Xie Feng said at a China General Chamber of Commerce–USA gala in Washington. Xie stressed that cooperation benefits both countries, while confrontation harms both, and urged the U.S. side to implement the consensus reached by the two heads of state, expand cooperation, and remove obstacles to bilateral ties.
Xie reaffirmed that China will continue pursuing high-quality development and opening-up, creating more opportunities for global partners. He called for fair and non-discriminatory conditions for Chinese companies operating in the United States, including easier visa and entry policies. The event, attended by about 300 business representatives, highlighted ongoing cooperation between Chinese and U.S. enterprises, with speakers emphasizing mutual respect, long-term partnership and the importance of continued business engagement between the two countries.
