China has introduced several new policies in the first half of the year to encourage foreign exchanges and boost economic and trade cooperation. These include a visa-free policy for ASEAN tourist groups visiting Xishuangbanna, Yunnan, and adding Indonesia to the 240-hour transit visa-free list. The government has also improved services like payment, accommodation, and transportation for foreigners. As a result, 13.64 million foreigners entered China without a visa, making up 71.2% of total foreign entries—a 53.9% increase from the same period last year.
