China says supports all parties in Myanmar to achieve peace through general elections

China officially voiced its support for Myanmar’s pursuit of lasting peace and reconciliation on Monday following the conclusion of the third phase of the country’s general elections. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun congratulated the nation on a “smooth and orderly” voting process, noting that Chinese, Russian, and Indian personnel, alongside ASEAN observers, witnessed active voter participation. Guo emphasized that China remains committed to working with the international community to respect the Myanmar people’s choice and will continue to provide constructive assistance to restore stability and development in the region
