Since the conflict between Palestine and Israel began on October 7, over 1,000 Chinese citizens have left Israel for either China or a third country, according to preliminary statistics released by the Chinese Foreign Ministry. Mao Ning, the ministry’s spokeswoman, stated in a press conference that all of the over 280 Chinese citizens initially trapped in Sderot, southern Israel, have been successfully evacuated with the ministry’s assistance. Some of them have already returned to China via commercial flights. Mao assured that the ministry will continue its efforts to aid Chinese citizens in the region.
