China releases OpenClaw security guidance for users, cloud providers, developers

China issued security guidelines for using the open-source AI agent OpenClaw, advising users, cloud providers and developers to reduce risks during deployment and operation. The guidance was jointly released by the National Computer Network Emergency Response Technical Team/Coordination Center of China and the Cyber Security Association of China.

Users are advised to install OpenClaw on dedicated devices or isolated environments, avoid using administrator privileges, not store sensitive data, and keep the software updated. Cloud providers should strengthen host security, protection systems, and supply-chain and data safeguards. The document also provides tailored security practices for enterprises and developers.
