Chinese Premier Li Qiang expressed China’s readiness to collaborate with Ethiopia to promote the sustainable development of the Addis Ababa-Djibouti Railway, a key Belt and Road project, and to expand bilateral trade and investment. Speaking at the 17th BRICS Summit in Rio de Janeiro during a meeting with Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, Li emphasized China’s commitment to true multilateralism and protecting economic globalization and free trade.
