China, Norway should jointly contribute to world peace, development, says Chinese FM

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with Norwegian Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide in Oslo, where both sides agreed to strengthen cooperation in areas such as trade, the green economy, clean energy and maritime affairs. Wang also called for an early signing of a China-Norway free trade agreement and said the two countries should deepen exchanges and remain strong partners despite global uncertainties.

The two ministers also pledged to support free trade, multilateralism and global cooperation, while exchanging views on international issues including the Ukraine crisis and the Middle East. Norway reaffirmed its commitment to the one-China policy and said it is ready to expand practical cooperation with China.
