China Media Group (CMG) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the organizing committee of the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics, becoming an official rights-holding broadcaster for the Games.
The agreement includes cooperation in news coverage, program production, event promotion, and staff exchanges. CMG will work closely with Italian partners to showcase the Olympics using advanced technologies like AI and 8K ultra HD, aiming to capture the athletes’ performances and Italy’s scenic beauty.
Both sides also plan to use the Games and the 55th anniversary of China–Italy diplomatic ties to deepen cultural and media exchanges, strengthen mutual understanding, and promote the China–Italy strategic partnership.
