China successfully launched two hyperspectral satellites from Shandong Province on August 5 using the Smart Dragon-3 carrier rocket. The satellites will monitor water quality, vegetation, crops and mineral resources, supporting industries such as agriculture, forestry, water management and mining.
The satellites will also assist Uzbekistan’s cotton industry, support agricultural production in Indonesia and contribute to digital economy and trade cooperation across ASEAN countries. Equipped with hyperspectral imaging and onboard AI technology, the satellites are designed to provide faster Earth observation data for global users.
