China has issued fresh warnings as Typhoon Dolphin moves toward the country’s eastern coast. The National Marine Environmental Forecasting Center issued an orange alert for ocean waves, with waves of up to 10 meters expected in parts of the East China Sea, while Zhejiang’s coastal areas remain under a blue alert.
The National Meteorological Center also renewed a blue typhoon warning, saying Dolphin was located about 1,360 kilometers east of Wenzhou on Thursday morning. The storm is expected to move westward, enter the East China Sea on Friday and gradually approach China’s eastern coastline. Authorities have urged ships and coastal communities to take precautions against strong winds and rough seas.
