China’s Ministry of Public Security launched a pilot program for digitized vehicle registration licenses in 60 cities to improve traffic management services. Chinese law mandates drivers to carry a driving license and a vehicle registration certificate. On Monday, the ministry issued over 2.15 million digitized licenses across cities, including Beijing and Tianjin.
Additionally, the ministry enhanced online traffic services to support an auto replacement subsidy program via its Traffic Management 12123 platform, benefiting over 63,000 drivers. These improved services have provided increased accuracy and convenience to more than 4 million people and enterprises, according to the ministry.
