The second full rehearsal for China’s upcoming grand gathering to mark the 80th anniversary of the victory in the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War wrapped up in Beijing early Sunday.
Held from Saturday evening until early Sunday at Tian’anmen Square, the rehearsal involved around 40,000 participants, including performers and support staff. Organizers said it added more elements compared to the first rehearsal and successfully tested logistics, coordination, and command.
The main event, featuring a military parade, will take place on September 3 in Tian’anmen Square.
