China is ready to strengthen its relationship with Gabon and take their partnership to a new level, President Xi Jinping’s special envoy Mu Hong said on May 4.
Mu, who is also a top Chinese political advisor, attended the inauguration of Gabonese President Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema on May 3 in Libreville. The two leaders met the following day.
Mu conveyed President Xi’s greetings and said China values its traditional friendship with Gabon, aiming to deepen trust and expand cooperation. President Nguema thanked Xi for sending a representative and affirmed Gabon’s commitment to the one-China principle and stronger ties with China.
