China dispatches 20,000 relief items to Guangxi amid Typhoon Narra floods

Chinese disaster relief agencies dispatched 20,000 emergency items on Sunday to the southwestern Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region following severe floods triggered by Typhoon Narra, the 19th named storm of the 2026 Pacific season. Coordinated through public-private partnerships with foundations including Tencent and ByteDance, an additional 27,000 supplies—such as bottled water, food, and family kits—were also deployed to support thousands of displaced residents. While no casualties have been reported amid large-scale evacuations, the rare concurrent activity of three typhoons has prompted the Chinese government to activate Level-IV emergency responses across southern China, with Narra posing the most immediate threat.
