China’s UN ambassador Fu Cong on Monday called for calm and restraint following a drone incident in Romania that reportedly injured two people.
Speaking at a UN Security Council meeting, Fu said the incident was a spillover from the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine and warned that further escalation could have serious consequences.
He urged all parties to resolve disputes through dialogue, avoid provocative actions, and work toward a political solution to the conflict. Fu also reiterated China’s support for ceasefire efforts and peace negotiations to end the Ukraine crisis.
