The 2026 China-California Business Forum convened in Los Angeles on Tuesday, drawing approximately 550 attendees, including government officials and business leaders, to strengthen sub-national cooperation. Chinese Ambassador Xie Feng, in a video address, underscored the forum’s role as an iconic platform for building mutual respect and win-win cooperation. Chinese Consul General Guo Shaochun echoed these sentiments, highlighting the event as a vital hub for trade promotion and direct business matchmaking.
California State Treasurer Fiona Ma emphasized the long-standing economic and innovative partnership between California and China, noting that such forums are essential for building the relationships required for shared prosperity. This year’s “Guest Province of Honor,” Hainan, was represented by Vice Governor Zhao Feng, who expressed a commitment to establishing a new model for trade and investment between his province and the state of California. The annual forum continues to serve as a pragmatic bridge for sub-national economic exchanges between the two nations.
