China defeated France 18-16 in overtime at the FIBA Men’s 3×3 World Cup in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, advancing to the quarterfinals for the first time. Despite losing to Austria 21-17 earlier, China needed the win to top Pool C. They came from behind, tied the game after France was penalized with two technical fouls, and secured the victory in overtime with key plays from Guo Hanyu and Xiang Zhichao. China will next face the winner of the Australia vs. Spain play-in game.
