Chelsea won the UEFA Conference League final on Wednesday with a 4-1 comeback victory over Real Betis, becoming the first club to win all four of UEFA’s major competitions. This adds to their previous titles: the Champions League (2012, 2021), Europa League (2013, 2019), and the now-defunct Cup Winners’ Cup (1971, 1998).
Key goals came from Enzo Fernandez and Nicolas Jackson, both assisted by Cole Palmer, followed by scores from Jadon Sancho and Moises Caicedo. Club captain Reece James lifted the trophy in Wroclaw, Poland, with owner Todd Boehly congratulating the team afterward.
Chelsea, now under Boehly’s ownership since 2022 and after spending $1.3 billion on mostly young players, secured a return to next season’s Champions League by finishing fourth in the Premier League. English clubs have claimed both the Conference and Europa League titles this season, but the Champions League final will feature Paris Saint-Germain and Inter Milan.
