Bridging the digital divide: Global leaders highlight education, collaboration and innovation at Boao Forum

At the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2025, global leaders discussed strategies to close the digital divide. The session emphasized inclusive policies, public-private partnerships, and education-driven solutions. Former Finnish PM Esko Aho highlighted the importance of collaboration and long-term digital skill development. Cambodia’s Svay Nakry detailed her country’s five-pillar strategy, supporting SMEs and women-led businesses. Iran’s Sajjad Ahadzadeh promoted tech parks and AI literacy in schools. Panelists called for international cooperation to overcome regulatory challenges and scale digital inclusion efforts, stressing that technology should bridge gaps rather than create new barriers.
