The Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) Annual Conference 2025 opened on March 28 in Boao, Hainan Province, China. Chinese Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang attended the event, emphasizing Asia’s progress in economic integration and regional cooperation.
Themed “Asia in the Changing World: Towards a Shared Future,” the conference highlights Asia’s growing role in the global economy. Ding stressed the need for solidarity, cooperation, and open trade, opposing protectionism while advocating for economic globalization and mutual development.
He reaffirmed China’s commitment to economic stability and innovation-driven growth, inviting global businesses to invest in China. He also emphasized peaceful coexistence and sustainable security as essential for Asia’s prosperity.
The event gathered over 1,500 representatives from more than 60 countries and regions, including government officials, business leaders, and scholars.
