The 2025 Belt and Road Journalists Forum was held on Saturday in Ganzhou, Jiangxi Province, with the theme “Promoting Civilizations Dialogue and Global Modernization with Power of Journalists.” The event brought together nearly 100 representatives from media outlets and journalist associations across over 50 countries and regions.
Keynote speaker He Ping, chairman of the All-China Journalists’ Association, emphasized the role of media in building bridges of mutual understanding and promoting peace and cultural continuity through accurate reporting.
Andrei Kryvasheyeu, rotating president of the Belt and Road Journalists Network, urged global journalists to collaborate in reducing bias and misunderstandings through objective coverage.
The forum also featured parallel discussions on topics like civilization dialogues and artificial intelligence, and included interactions between foreign journalists and Chinese city mayors, highlighting the media’s role in fostering international dialogue and cooperation.
