Asian Games is 50 days away from Hangzhou Charms

As the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, China, approach, a 50-day countdown has begun. To kick off the promotional video series “Asian Games,Hangzhou Charms,” an intricate stop motion animation named “Asian Games SHOW Hangzhou” has been introduced. Crafted from thousands of pieces of Hangzhou silk, each delicately adorned with patterns and colors, the animation gives the illusion of movement as frames transition.

Simultaneously, the specially designed Fuxing bullet train for the Hangzhou Asian Games has completed its inaugural trial run with passengers. Painted in the event’s dominant color, Rainbow Purple, the train is embellished with the emblem, slogan, and sports pictograms. With eight cars accommodating 578 passengers, this intelligent electric multiple unit is capable of reaching speeds up to 350 kilometers per hour. The train will serve the host city Hangzhou and five co-host cities in Zhejiang Province.

Scheduled from September 23 to October 8, the Hangzhou Asian Games will encompass 483 events across 61 sports and 40 disciplines. Notably, the first Esports match in Asian Games history will take place on September 24, making it an official medal event. Additionally, breakdancing, another newly-added sport, will make its debut on October 6.
