Apple is reportedly in talks to invest in OpenAI, the creator of ChatGPT, as the AI company raises more funds, potentially valuing it at $100 billion. Thrive Capital is leading the funding round with a $1 billion investment, and Microsoft, OpenAI’s largest investor, is also involved. If Apple joins, it would coincide with the company’s upcoming iPhone announcement on September 9, which is expected to include AI innovations. Apple has already made OpenAI’s technology available as an option for high-end iPhones but also plans to offer AI tools from other companies.
