The 2026 APEC Digital and AI Ministerial Meeting, held in Chengdu, China, adopted a ministerial statement calling for closer cooperation to use digital technologies and AI to empower the Asia-Pacific community. The meeting emphasized accelerating communication and computing infrastructure, promoting the digital and intelligent transformation of traditional industries, and helping micro, small and medium-sized enterprises use digital tools to improve competitiveness. China said it would continue strengthening cooperation among APEC economies and implementing the agreements reached.
