Typhoon Dolphin made landfall in Zhejiang Province on Sunday after traveling more than 6,000 kilometers across the western Pacific. Chinese forecasters said it is the first recorded typhoon to form near the International Date Line and reach China at tropical-storm strength or higher. Dolphin peaked as a super typhoon with winds of 65 meters per second and remained unusually strong for several days. Authorities issued China’s second red typhoon alert of the year, warning of strong winds and heavy rainfall across eastern and central China
