The Africa CDC warned that the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) is the fastest-growing on record, with more than 3,400 confirmed cases and over 1,500 deaths. Response efforts are being challenged by limited resources, insecurity, funding shortages, and healthcare worker infections.
Meanwhile, Africa CDC praised Uganda for successfully containing its Ebola outbreak through strong leadership and public health measures, while urging continued vigilance across the region.
