Eight Arab and Islamic countries, including Egypt, Jordan, the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye, have condemned the treatment of Gaza-bound flotilla activists detained by Israel.
In a joint statement, the foreign ministers called actions by Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir “unacceptable” and a violation of international law, criticizing what they described as the public humiliation of detainees.
The flotilla, carrying humanitarian activists toward Gaza, was intercepted by Israeli forces in international waters before being brought to Ashdod Port, after which activists were later deported.
