2026 China Development Forum to focus on 15th Five-Year Plan, global cooperation opportunities

The China Development Forum (CDF) will be held in Beijing on March 22–23, 2026, focusing on China’s 15th Five-Year Plan and high-quality development. Known as “China’s Davos,” the forum will host seminars and closed-door talks on macroeconomy, consumption, healthcare, green transition, energy, technology, AI and sustainable development, bringing together government leaders, global executives and scholars.

As the first year of the 2026–2030 plan, discussions will center on China’s role in global growth amid economic uncertainty. The plan prioritizes high-quality development, stable GDP growth, industrial upgrades, tech self-reliance, continued reform and opening-up, and green transformation, including carbon peak goals by 2030.

International experts say China’s development creates global opportunities. Scholars and business leaders highlight China’s expanding openness, large market, green economy progress and steady growth as key drivers for global trade and cooperation. The forum is expected to deepen dialogue on innovation, sustainability and international partnerships.
