The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announced that the 32nd Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) Ministerial Meeting will take place on September 4 in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, under the theme “innovation-driven development for win-win cooperation.” According to Ministry officials Liang Zhifeng and Vice Minister Ke Jixin, the gathering will focus on technological innovation, digital empowerment, and inclusive development, with participants expected to adopt a joint ministerial statement and practical policy consensus. Guangdong Vice Governor Wang Sheng confirmed that all preparations are complete with participation confirmed from all APEC economies, alongside extensive exhibitions featuring over 2,100 companies and 3,900 booths. Highlighting the broader APEC “China Year”—themed “Building an Asia-Pacific Community to Prosper Together”—China is also set to host the 33rd APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting in Shenzhen this November.
