The 2025 Understanding China Conference is being held in Guangzhou under the theme of Chinese modernization and global governance. Senior CPC officials Li Shulei and Huang Kunming delivered opening speeches. Participants noted that the event has become a key platform for understanding China’s development path. They highlighted China’s progress in modernization since the 18th CPC National Congress and the importance of the recent Fourth Plenary Session’s blueprint for the next five years. The conference, running until Tuesday, has drawn more than 800 political, business and academic figures.
