The 15th China-Northeast Asia Expo will take place from August 27 to 31, 2025, in Changchun, Jilin Province, under the theme “Joining Hands in Northeast Asia for a Shared Future Through Openness.” The event aims to deepen regional cooperation among China and five neighboring countries—Russia, Mongolia, North Korea, South Korea, and Japan.
China’s Vice Minister of Commerce Yan Dong emphasized strong trade ties and complementary strengths among these nations. In 2024, trade between China and the five countries reached $901.6 billion, making up nearly 15% of China’s total foreign trade. Two-way investment exceeded $7 billion, expanding into emerging sectors like digital economy, green development, and advanced manufacturing.
The expo will host over 8,000 business representatives from 42 countries and regions, with 2,796 exhibition booths already confirmed. A major highlight will be the first-ever modern industries pavilion, showcasing smart and green upgrades in traditional industries and collaborative innovation ecosystems.
The event is co-organized by China’s Ministry of Commerce, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and the Jilin provincial government. As the only international expo jointly attended by all six Northeast Asian countries, it marks its 20th anniversary this year and continues to promote consensus, cooperation, and development across the region.
