The preparatory session for the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam was held in Hanoi on Monday. Chaired by National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, the session approved the congress’s rules, agenda, and election regulations. It elected a 16-member presidium, a five-member secretariat, and a 13-member board to verify delegate eligibility. The session also confirmed that all 1,586 delegates to the congress are fully qualified.
