Authorities have established 130 relief camps and 359 distribution centers, assisting thousands displaced. Lakhimpur, Darrang, Golaghat, and Dhemaji are hardest hit. The disaster response includes personnel from state and national forces, anticipating further rainfall and worsening conditions. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has instructed officials to oversee rescue efforts firsthand, visiting affected areas and monitoring situations like Kaziranga National Park, where flooding has impacted wildlife and infrastructure severely.
