The United States will host another round of talks between Ukrainian and Russian delegations in Abu Dhabi on November 10 and 11, according to US envoy Steve Witkoff. The discussions are expected to focus on ending the conflict, post-war security arrangements, de-escalation and humanitarian measures. US negotiators will also meet with European officials in Brussels this week to discuss security guarantees for Ukraine and support for its reconstruction.
However, major disagreements remain over territorial claims, Ukraine’s future military arrangements and Russia’s security demands. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has called for direct talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin, while Moscow has maintained its existing position on the conflict.
