Chinese and German automotive companies have discussed ways to strengthen cooperation as the global auto industry faces rapid changes and growing competition. The 10th German-Chinese Automotive Congress was held in Wolfsburg on Friday, bringing together around 600 representatives from both countries. Discussions focused on electric vehicles, artificial intelligence, digital technology and autonomous driving. Industry officials said closer cooperation and regular dialogue were important for building reliable partnerships and developing new technologies.
At a separate meeting, China’s Hunan Province promoted its advantages to German investors, highlighting its lower costs, large consumer market, strong supply chains, skilled workforce and business environment. Officials said Hunan’s manufacturing and automotive industries offer further opportunities for cooperation, particularly in electric vehicles, batteries and heavy machinery.
