Xi plays decisive role in drafting CPC leadership’s resolution on full, rigorous Party self-governance: official

Chinese President Xi Jinping played a leading role in drafting a major resolution on strengthening Party self-governance, according to a senior Communist Party of China official on Friday. Tang Fangyu, head of the CPC Central Committee’s Policy Research Office, said Xi personally led the document drafting group, providing guidance and setting the overall direction throughout the process. The resolution was described as the most important outcome of the fifth plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, which was held in Beijing from October 26 to 29. Tang made the remarks at a press conference explaining the key principles and outcomes of the meeting.
