Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has called for greater international trust, friendship, cooperation and partnership following his recent tour of Azerbaijan, Croatia, Montenegro and Bulgaria. Speaking in Sofia on Monday, Wang said dialogue and mutual understanding were essential to resolving global conflicts, including the Ukraine crisis and tensions in the Middle East.
Wang also highlighted opportunities to expand cooperation in trade, investment, infrastructure, artificial intelligence and green development through the Belt and Road Initiative. He reaffirmed China’s support for multilateralism and closer relations with European countries, saying differences should be handled through dialogue and cooperation.
