Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi said his current presidential term would end in 2030, stating that his departure from office was “completely settled.” Sisi made the remarks on Saturday during a graduation ceremony at the Egyptian Military Academy.
Sisi is serving a six-year term after winning re-election in December 2023. Constitutional amendments approved in 2019 extended presidential terms from four to six years and allowed him to seek a third term, enabling him to remain in office until 2030.
