Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi held the 28th China-France Strategic Dialogue with French President’s Diplomatic Adviser Emmanuel Bonne in Datong, Shanxi Province, on Saturday. The two sides discussed strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation in traditional sectors, including aviation, aerospace and nuclear energy, as well as emerging fields such as advanced manufacturing, green development and artificial intelligence.
Wang called for closer China-France and China-EU cooperation, saying trade differences should be resolved through dialogue. Bonne said France would continue to support a stable business environment for Chinese companies and strengthen cooperation with China. He also stressed that the European Union does not seek a trade war or to decouple from China, but wants to remain a reliable partner.
