The 23rd China-ASEAN Expo in Nanning has introduced its first AI marketplace, aiming to strengthen digital economy cooperation between China and ASEAN countries. The expo, held from September 17 to 21, features a main venue showing technologies such as large language models and AI chips, while a second venue displays more than 400 AI-related products from 60 companies, including smart glasses, robots and healthcare devices.
Chinese companies such as Huawei, iFlytek and Unitree Robotics are showcasing their technologies alongside AI companies from ASEAN countries including Thailand and Indonesia. Visitors and buyers can test products and place orders directly, while the second venue will remain open year-round to continue promoting Chinese AI products in overseas markets.
The expo comes as China and ASEAN deepen their economic and digital cooperation. Their bilateral trade reached $1.05 trillion in 2025, up 7.4% from the previous year, while trade in the first seven months of 2026 rose 24.7% year-on-year to $744.41 billion.
