Iran says it targeted a US unmanned vessel in the Strait of Hormuz, as tensions between the two countries continued to escalate.
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said the US drone was hit while carrying out what it called an “aggressive mission” near the entrance to the strategic waterway. The IRGC also warned that hostile forces in the Strait of Hormuz would be targeted.
Meanwhile, the US Central Command said its naval blockade had redirected 96 commercial vessels as of September 10, while more than 50 vessels carrying humanitarian aid had been allowed to pass. Credit : CGTN
