China has provided Nepal with a customized cloud-based version of its AI-powered MAZU weather warning system to support rescue and relief efforts following the deadly August 26 mudslide. The system was delivered on August 31 and uses satellite, ground and AI forecast data to provide detailed weather information.
China has also been sharing daily weather forecasts and hydrological data with Nepal, while the two countries maintain real-time consultations.
