Xi Jinping, Peng Liyuan visit Grand Egyptian Museum

Chinese President Xi Jinping and his wife, Peng Liyuan, accompanied by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and his wife, toured the Grand Egyptian Museum and viewed historical treasures such as the artifacts of Tutankhamun while overlooking the pyramids. Highlighting both nations as ancient civilizations, Xi called for advancing the Global Civilization Initiative to foster dialogue, inclusiveness, and mutual learning between cultures. President Sisi thanked Xi for his congratulations on the museum’s opening and expressed Egypt’s readiness to strengthen cultural exchanges with China to build a more harmonious and inclusive world.
