Construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway is moving ahead quickly, with work on the Kyrgyz section now in full swing. Chinese President Xi Jinping said the railway and other major projects are strengthening economic development and regional connectivity. Xi and Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov also said relations between the two countries have entered a “golden” period, with trade reaching a record $27.2 billion in 2025. The two sides signed more than 20 cooperation agreements covering areas including technology, education, transport and investment, as well as a new treaty on permanent good-neighborliness, friendship and cooperation. China and Kyrgyzstan also agreed to strengthen coordination through the UN, SCO and other international organizations. Credit : CGTN
