China and India have reached an eight-point consensus during their latest talks on the long-running border dispute.
The two sides agreed to maintain peace along the border, continue negotiations toward a fair settlement and improve communication to prevent misunderstandings along the Line of Actual Control.
They also agreed to add new military meeting points and hotline channels, while expanding cooperation on border trade, pilgrimages and trans-border rivers.
The next round of talks will be held in India in 2027. Credit : CGTN
