Iran has warned Gulf countries not to help the US military, saying any support could make them part of the conflict. The warning came after the UAE suspended all trade and financial dealings with Iran, following Iran’s alleged missile attacks near UAE waters. Iran denied targeting the UAE.
Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump said there are currently no talks between the US and Iran, contradicting his son-in-law Jared Kushner, who had said the two sides were having positive discussions. The US has largely paused military operations, while an American aircraft carrier is being moved to the Middle East.
In Syria, Türkiye rejected Israel’s claim that Turkish troops were preparing to use a Syrian air base. Israel recently struck the base, while a US envoy called the attack an unnecessary escalation. Israel has continued military operations in Syria and says it plans to keep troops there, despite calls from Syria and the UN to respect Syria’s sovereignty.
