Documentary ‘The Heritage Guardian’ premieres in Azerbaijan

Baku hosted the launch event on Friday for the Azerbaijani-dubbed version of the documentary “The Heritage Guardian,” produced by China Media Group (CMG). As the first program of its kind produced in the Azerbaijani language, the documentary highlights Chinese President Xi Jinping’s dedication to cultural preservation and development while illustrating the principles of Xi Jinping Thought on Culture. Following the premiere, the film was broadcast nationally on the culture channel of Azerbaijan Television and Radio Broadcasting CJSC and the private news channel ARB 24. Prominent attendees included Chinese Ambassador to Azerbaijan Lu Mei, CMG TV & Film Dubbing Center Director Wang Lu, Azerbaijani parliamentarian Gunay Efendiyeva, and other senior broadcast executives. Local scholars and media figures praised the documentary for its vivid portrayal of President Xi’s historical efforts in safeguarding cultural heritage, while the CMG center also showcased additional acclaimed programs such as “China Flash Forward,” “Crafted in China,” and “Song of the Yellow River.”
