The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea has criticized Japan’s 2026 Defense White Paper, accusing Tokyo of using regional security concerns to justify military expansion.
A commentary carried by the Korean Central News Agency said Japan’s portrayal of neighboring countries as security threats was aimed at supporting its arms buildup and closer military cooperation with the United States.
The commentary urged the international community to remain vigilant, warning that Japan’s growing military capabilities could increase tensions and undermine regional security.
