Several people have died after a fire broke out at the Oxy building in central Brussels on Tuesday, with six people still reported missing as emergency crews continue a major search and rescue operation.
Authorities said around 200 employees were believed to have been working in the building when the fire started. Rescue teams are focusing on the building’s lifts and elevator shafts, while all workers have been evacuated.
Officials have not confirmed the exact death toll, but prosecutors described the incident as extremely serious, with the full extent of the casualties still being determined.
