China allocates 30 million yuan to assist flood-hit northeastern Liaoning Province

China’s National Development and Reform Commission has allocated 30 million yuan (about $4.4 million) from the central budget to support emergency recovery efforts in Liaoning Province after heavy rain and flooding caused widespread damage.

The funding will be used to restore damaged infrastructure, including roads, schools and other public facilities, helping affected communities resume normal production and daily life as quickly as possible.

The flooding followed heavy rainfall brought by Typhoon Bavi, which affected cities including Shenyang and Fushun. Earlier on Tuesday, China activated a Level-IV national disaster relief emergency response.
